At first I was a little jealous.
Then I realized, that in order to have some sort of rank or privaledge(sp?) here on a forum I would need to show exactly what Frank stated about the people who have attained the title. These people will share a responsibility to help moderate (or help Captain) the board. This is not somthing that I do not think should be given lightly. While I realize, I may be making too much out of this. When I look at the core of this, no one here really knows who I am yet. Some of the folk here knew my siblings(Maureen, Brian, Kathleen Bergin). I was still young (12) when I left. And While Coop was integral in my formulative years, I am amazed at how drawn I am to this board and seeing how people lives have changed or unfortunatly not changed yet. So, until I am known better, I am happy to be a "Cooperator" Wait a tic........my cooperator status is gone, HEY. Just joking. It totally ok Frank. respectfully, John |

Hey John,
Thank you for your input. It's refreshing to see a restrained attitude and understanding. It's true, you learn a whole lot about just how much an influence Co-op City has been to most of us who had the privilege to live there. I was doubly privileged in that I both lived AND worked there, although I moved out shortly after getting on Co-op Security, about 3 1/2 years aften moving in. I get the feeling, that with the kinds of posts you have been making, and your participation, that you should be in line for a Floor Captain slot in the future. True you left at a tender age, but not too young to have accumulated some great Co-op City experiences. Now, get busy and let us all in on some of them!! Frankster PS: I think you should have your cooperator status "reinstated" now and should show the next time you post. Somehow, a gremlin got in and ate the Cooperator part of your ID box..... |

Wow what an honor... I read page 3 first and wondered what the fuss was about and then noticed a page 2. I am delighted that you chose me as a Floor Captain as you know you can always count on me for help or input. I hope with this comes peace and understanding & not the start of any bickering as I would be happy for anybody who was chosen. I guess 24 will take away my crown  as Queen of the board. But I will proudly step aside if I cannot maintain both titles..... Can I ?? Huh?? Huh??Again thank you and please ask if and when you need help with anything..... Thank you Kathy Floor Captain...... Thanks Kat. You have done LOTS to help this board maintain it's cool. Plus, you've helped me learn lots about my Section 5 brothers and sisters that I wouldn't otherwise have known.

I wish I had more time in here. This is very nice. I work a full time job and sometimes put in 12 hour days. If I could I would post all day like some of you do here. Coop was an intrical (sp) part of my life. Good going Cowboy.

Cowboy What is the Community Directors Board Thread. When I click on it I am not able to enter it without the ezboard gold stamp of approval that I notice 24 has.. I wonder what that was & how did he get it.....
Please don't get me wrong I have plenty of titles now and am very very very happy for what you have done but I was just curious as to what it was all about. I remember the thread showing up a while back when ezboard had some problems and Casals removed it so we didn't see it.. |

The Director's Board is simply a board to allow the admin to test elements to be used on the boards. It really shouldn't be visible, although with all the tweaking I'm doing, it may show for a bit, then ultimately, disappear. The ez board gold thingy 24 has is a mystery to me, although it might have something to do with his recent contribution to ezboard, or the way he did it.... I had nothing to do with it. |

Kateyes, the way that I got that gold stamp thing was that I made a contribution to the wrong (OK, not "wrong", but different) board. EZ Board vs. Co-op Board directly.
You aren't missing anything. Cowboy is right, that thread is just light housekeeping functions and things that the Administrator uses to "test" the board, test new fonts and seemingly has no other function or anything that we would ever use or need. |

Kat, regarding the board clock and the time change. I did notice that too, however...
You need to first contact your floor captain, who will notify the tenant patrol and then management will send out a crew from maintenance. But FIRST, you need to contact your Floor Captain. LOL (I think that Cowboy already has fixed it, he is on the job) |

I remember AL, the guy in garage 8. He had longish/fro-ish, kinkyish kinda hair. Big moustache. He always asked for advice for a guy who didn't "know anything." I assured AL that everyone knows SOMETHING. Still, he swore he didn't have any skills at anything. So I told him: "So therefore you're a garage attendant?????!" Maybe you can take over Garage 8 Jeff, once they rebuild it. |
