Actually, there were/are 500 families in building 20: Sect. A 175; Sect. B 150 and Sect. C 175.
A whole lot of bldg 20's! And if you multiply that by the average size of the American family, that multiplies yet! LOL! |

To sue buidling 20 -- I'm Justin Hornburg, if you were asking me.
To Bldg20 -- I played in jazz band with Mr. Dixon, too. I played in 7th and 8th grade. I don't remember which years were which songs, but we played Rock With You, Feels So Good, Ladies Night and a tune called Moanin' which I think Mr. Dixon wrote himself. I wonder if I know either of you. Here are some names I do remember: Eddie Brown (trumpet), Lisa Avery (flute and trombone), Renee Newman (flute), Douglas Kelly (alto sax), Lisa Scholl (trumpet). I also remember some others who were in concert band but not jazz band. |

No, I'm sorry, Sue, I don't think I remember Gary. The name is vaguely familiar, but then again it's a common name.

Was, and IS, Paul Kimbarow from Dekruif Pl. Last I heard, he was playing with Sha Na Na...... Formerly with Ashford and Simpson, Angela Bofil, The Platters,
and an UNBELIEVABLE number of studio sessions with the best of the best in music.
I had the privilege of playing in a band with Paul, back in my Co-op City days, circa 1972, a band called Cathedral, fronted by Marty Ross of Bldg. 8, and me on congas, Al Tiny Diaz on Bass, Paulie on drums, and another cat who's name escapes me (Carlos Santiago?), on rhythm guitar, and later, Jan Simon.
Me, getting ready to do a gig in Center 1 in Co-op, picking up Jan, one of the musicians in Cathedral, at Lydig Ave, just outside Co-op.
