Looking for a few old friends I lost touch with after I moved out of Coop in 1975/76. I would love to find Iris Brand, Helene O'Brien, Sharon Chester, Lori,
Sherry Brecher, Roxanne Rivera, Claudette Wohl, Frieda Bernstein, Karen Tobey, Joann Joubert, Stacey, Cheryl, and Karen Topal. |

I am one of the 3 Lori in Bldg 2B. Which one of us are you looking for? I hung out with all the people you mentioned in your inquiry. I think Karen Tobey still lives in Co-op City. Iris lives in New Rochelle and teaches in the public school in section 5. Her mother past away several years ago. Her father still lives in their old 3 bedroom apt in the old building.

Yes - I used to hang out there, hence, the monniker "TheLoop" . . . I remember the Stones from Shorehaven, Beth, Bobby, and Steve .. . .nice bunch of kids.

I hung out at the loop also. Miss it a lot. Would I know you "The Loop"? I remember the Stones, especially Beth. She was pretty cool. I used to hang with Domenica Polsky, we were always together. Does anyone know whatever happened to Debbie Cubik, Susan Wohl, Felicia Goldstein, Renee Valentine or Donna Monforte?--Let me know. Thanks.

Renee Valentine,she still lives in Co-op City,like I do.
every now and then we hang out together. Debbie Kubic, I hear is living in the pelham bay area. Donna Monforte, I have heard, has been married and lives on L.I. I have heard from a source that had spoken to Debbie Kubic that her husband had died with cancer,and Donna is taking his death very badly. I really feel sad for her. She was a very nice girl. I dated her for a while around 1986. You, Shortysharon proberly know who I am? |

I know all three young women as well. I did hear about Donna's husband passing away. Such a shame! I do hope she will be able, in time, to move forward with her young life and find love and happiness.
Debbie, for some reason, I thought moved to Florida. My mistake. Renee I know still resides in Co-op. I haven't seen her in some time, but have mutual friends with her. Heard she was doing well. I grew up with her sister Ellen. Would you know how she is doing? |

I was very good friends with Donna Monforte. I did know that her husband had been suffering with testicular cancer for a number of years before passing away. I heard she took it very hard, which is understandable, they had dated for many years before marrying. I heard she is doing better, thankfully.
Renee Valentine I believe still lives with her parents and 12 year old daughter Kaitlin in Co-op. She did briefly work at KMart as a cashier, but haven't seen her there in some time. Debbie Cubic, now that is a name I haven't heard since 1987 or 1988. Does anyone know if she is married?? Hey Loopster, I have to try and remember who I believe you are, I don't want to use real names, so I will abbreviate if that is ok with you? Here are my choices on who you "may" be: JoeE, AndyP, RobJ, MattP, or SteveK. Let me know if your one of them, if not, back to the drawing board for me. |
