He was a dear friend who lived in Building 11B. He died at the young age of 23. He was Editor in Chief of The Truman Independent. He died of Intestinal Cancer. He is buried in Flushing. His birthday was 4/11/1958.

Debbie Wyman passed on. She lived in building three. Tomorrow, Friday, January 9, 2009 there will be a celebration of her life at the Non-Donominational Church in section 1, where St. Michael's used to be.
She left behind two twin girls, her sister Stacy and her dad who was a Corrections Officer at Riker's Island. Her mom died 21 years ago from cancer.

Rest in peace, Debbie, and may your family stay strong during this difficult time.

I just got word that Gina died over the weekend. She lived in City Island but went to Truman and graduated '79. Unbelievable!

I heard recently that he died....don't know why or how....anybody know....he lived in bldg 2 and hung with Terence J......he also hung at bldg 8....(yeah the party crew at the time).....Also does anybody know what happened to the rest of the people who hung in the 70's in section 1......Thanks for any info....

I heard that Gary Lochansky, age 40, passed away. I didn't know him personally, but he was a Co-op City person and I wanted to inform those of you who may have known him. RIP.

Paola Gennis was the sole death in a tragic car accident that took place on the NJ Turnpike this past June 26, 2008. She was married to Brian Gennis formerly of Edgar Place in section 5. She lives behind two very young daughters. Her life take too soon. May she be at peace now and looking down on her family with her big smile.

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this asking for your thoughts & prayers for Ralph's wife,daughters & grandchildren.
I just learn of a Ralph's passing this morning which happened a couple of weeks ago. Ralph was a huge part of what made hanging out in section 5 so cool..... I can't tell you how much he will be missed.... RIP my friend RIP!!!!

I would like to inform you that I lost my mother in july to a battle with lung cancer. She will be dearly missed. If anyone knew her you know how much she enjoyed life and CO-Op City she left behind many friends and family members

He didn't live in Co op, but had a Podiatry practice there. He passed this Saturday of a Heart Attack. David was a Bronx, Science grad '78, only 47 years young.

My father died on Friday evening.
He was an original cooperator, moving in on April 2, 1970 (with the whole family) and moved out on April 1, 1991.

He tutored hundreds of kids in math and physics in our apartment over the years, and brought balsa airplanes and the ball and bat to the Greenway, where he arranged pickup games of Flyers Up.

He'd been sick this spring (kidney failure and a-fib due to dehydration due to a stomach "flu") but his kidney function was...

It is with sincere sadness that I need to let you know that a friend of mine passed away a few weeks ago. Damien Auerbach. He was a real sweet guy. I knew him since childhood and even though I didn't hang with him as we got older, we were always real towards one another. My deepest condolences to his family & friends. Heaven has got itself a hard rocking angel now.

My brother Mark(still a Co-oper) informed me yesterday that a fellow class of '76 Truman graduate and neighbor of mine in building 12 passed away from cancer within the last few days. His name is Michael Miller and a picture of him from the 1976 Truman yearbook can be found on page 61. RIP Michael.

After battling and beating (not merely surviving) Hodgkin's lymphoma, colon polyps, a pulmonary embolism, breast cancer (which she cured by having a breast reduction with extreme prejudice) and numerous other health issues from the radiation therapy (hypothyroid, loss of teeth, pneumonitis, GERD/Barrett's epithelium) my wife died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, February 23, 2007. She'd been fighting off a cold or flu, and went to take a nap. 10 or 20 minutes later the children found...
